ERASMUS+ MOBILITY TO FARO
A memorable Erasmus+ mobility to Faro, Portugal came to an end on Friday 17th March.
Five 2nd Year of Secondary students of our Bilingual class: Ruben Aller, Adriana Bravo, Elsa Diaz, Claudia Gutierrez and Carla Villaverde, accompanied by two teachers César Martinez and Gaynor Jones, spent 5 days at Agrupamento de Escolas San João de Deus High School participating in a full programme of activities along with partner Erasmus colleagues and students from Turkey, Italy, Romania, Poland and Portugal.
At the school students worked on Emotional School Dropout project activities including collaborating on a gratitude tree mural and presenting work done in each country on traditional games.
The week also included cultural visits to the most westerly point of Europe at St Vincent in Sagres and a visit to the Portuguese capital of Lisbon.
Additionally the school organised many opportunities for us to learn about local traditions and dances and to sample typical foods of the region.
One of the highlights was also a boat trip to Faro Island where we went kayaking and then a visit to the Algarve Life Sciences Museum where we had a lot of fun with our new Erasmus friends.
A big thanks to the Portuguese teachers and host families who organised such a great mobility and who looked after us so well!
A special trip full of new experiences and memories to treasure for a long time!
Una movilidad inolvidable de Erasmus+a Faro, Portugal llegó a su fin el viernes 17 de marzo.
Cinco alumnos de 2º de ESO sección Bilingüe: Ruben Aller, Adriana Bravo, Elsa Diaz, Claudia Gutiérrez y Carla Villaverde, acompañados por dos profesores César Martínez y Gaynor Jones, pasaron 5 días en el Agrupamento de Escolas San João de Deus, Faro, participando en un programa de actividades muy completo junto a estudiantes de países socios de Turquía, Italia, Rumanía, Polonia y Portugal.
En el Instituto portugués, los estudiantes trabajaron en varias actividades asociadas al proyecto "Emotional School Dropout", entre ellos, elaborando un mural de "gratitud tree" y presentando el trabajo realizado en cada país sobre juegos tradicionales.
La semana también incluyó visitas culturales al cabo de San Vicente de Sagres, el punto más occidental de Europa, y una visita a la capital portuguesa de Lisboa.
Además, el colegio organizó muchas actividades para que aprendiésemos sobre las tradiciones y bailes locales, y degustáramos comidas típicas de la región.
Destacó un viaje en barco a la isla de Faro donde hicimos kayak y luego la visita al Museo de Ciencias del Algarve, donde nos divertimos mucho con nuestros nuevos amigos Erasmus.
